About the Author
Caroline B. Cooney (b. 1947) is the author of nearly a hundred books, including the famed young adult thriller The Face on the Milk Carton, an international bestseller. Cooney’s books have been translated into several languages, and have received multiple honors and awards, including an American Library Association Best Book for Young Adults award and a nomination for the Edgar Award. She is best known for her popular teen horror thrillers and romance novels. Her fast-paced, plot-driven work often explores themes of good and evil, love and hatred, right and wrong, and moral ambiguity. Born in Geneva, New York, Cooney grew up in Connecticut, and often sets her novels in dramatic New England landscapes. She has three children and four grandchildren and currently lives in South Carolina.

Very original!!

Just for a little background info on me, I have a BA in English as well as psychology. I worked as a children's library assistant for my first four years out of college. I remember enjoying some of Cooney's books when I was in middle school. I read this one as an adult, and really enjoyed it. The plot was startingly orignal, in my opinion. I really felt for Mary Lee, and was really invested in what happened to her. Ok, Shakespeare it's not, but if you want to have a fast, thrilling read, try picking it up. If you're not into by chapter 3, just go ahead and put it away.

I think that this book is great. The main character is going through the realization that she was deceived by everyone she loves. All the while, cooney makes her misfortunes into a thriller. An autor who can twist a sory into whatever she feels like making it is truly an author. It's a really great book.

Mary lee's lovely olive skin was stretched with fear. her beautiful hazel eyes, with their fringe of long black lashes were wide with panic. each swing of hair, each lift of brow, was mirrored in he identicaltwin. if it had been a fairy tale and onr twin had said "mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of them all?" the mirror could not have an answer. for two qualified...
... "you be madrigal,mreelee" said her twin, zipping mary lee into the gleaming taffeta plaid. "what do you mean?" "we'll switch." Madrigals wild smile demanded a return, and mary lee gave it smilling wildly back, though comprehending nothing...
...The gondala in whitch the twin sat by herself leaped forward again, and the thin metal rod that curved over the top of the seat and held the gondola to the cables, snapped. the gondola flipped, as if unearthy hands were shaking the contents out...

About the Author
Reinette (Oonsie) Biggs is a Researcher at the Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC), Stockholm University, Sweden, and a Research Associate at the Centre for Studies in Complexity, Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Her current research focuses on tipping points and regime shifts in social-ecological systems and their impacts on ecosystem services and human well-being.

Maja Schlüter is a Researcher at the SRC, Stockholm University, Sweden, and head of the research group SES-LINK. Her work focuses on the dynamics of social-ecological systems, particularly social-ecological feedbacks leading to traps and transformations in natural resource use in different environments such as river basins, agricultural landscapes and marine ecosystems.

Michael L. Schoon is an Assistant Professor at the School of Sustainability, Arizona State University, USA, focusing on policy and governance in sustainable systems. His current research looks at collaborative, cross-border institutional arrangements covering a range of environmental issues from biodiversity conservation to water sharing to fire management in the Arizona borderlands.

Great sales stories and strategies

I spent 30 years in the sales arena and was involved in sales training for a major corporation in Fortune's Top 20. I've read many books on sales training and this one ranks up there with the best of them. The personal nature of the stories kept me interested, and the emphasis on developing relationships was right on target for successful selling. Well done, Mr. McCalley!

Good book! There are a lot of chapters in this regarding experience of sales in each chapter you are guaranteed to learn something new. You will learn to treat everyone you work with respect, making new relationships, gaining confidence. In this book there will be a section to tell you what Mr. McCalley had learnt through his mistakes. It is amazing how far trust and credibility can take you. Many would agree that relationship is key, but not many put into practice the way the author did.

I've had the pleasure and good fortune to work as a colleague of Mr. McCalley, his approach is exactly as explained in his book. Year after year he exceeded sales records and built sustainable relationships with all executive buyers and influencers to afford him the ability to network those relationships and compound his sales revenue.
